MTG Card Scanner

Your Magic collection,
finally in order.

Digitize your collection by pointing your camera at a card and Kura recognizes it via the local Scryfall database. Match decklists against what you own, track value, and keep it all private on your own devices.

No account · No ads · Free for collections up to 5,000 cards

Recognizes any card, instantly

Point your camera at a card — even sleeved, straight from your hand — and Kura reads it in any language, then auto-detects the set and printing (Phyrexian included).

Private by design

Recognition runs 100% on your device, and Kura works offline once you've imported the Scryfall database. No account, no ads, no tracking.

Your collection, organized

Cards live in searchable digital boxes. Match decklists against what you own for instant wants-lists. Export everything anytime, no cap.
Your Digital Collection

Know what you own.

  • Your collection at a glance

The home dashboard turns your collection into numbers you can read — total value, recent scans, most valuable cards, and how close each set is to complete.

  • Hidden value in every box

Storage, deck box, or binder — every card lives in one place. Sort a box by market price and the gems hiding between the commons jump right out.

  • Decks matched to what you own

Import a decklist and Kura checks it against what you physically own — covered, missing, or promised to another deck — and turns the gaps into a wants-list.

Features

Built for how collectors actually work

From the first scan to a fully matched decklist — Kura covers the whole workflow of owning physical Magic cards.

Scan

Camera Scan & Auto Mode

Recognizes edition, foil, and language via the local Scryfall database — even sleeved, straight from your hand, including Phyrexian-printed cards. Auto mode confirms strong matches for you.

Private & Offline

No photo ever leaves your phone — recognition runs against the card database stored on your device, so scanning works in a basement, at a tournament, or on a plane.
Organize

Collection Management

Quantity, set, language, foil, and condition — tracked per copy, with acquisition price valued live against Scryfall's reference in EUR (Cardmarket) or USD (TCGPlayer).

Boxes

Storage, deck box, binder. Every card lives in exactly one box, with live counts and value. Link a box to a deck to track whether your cards are physically there or borrowed elsewhere.

Search, Filter & Sort

By color, type, set, reserved-list, or function tag. Sort by value, release, or mana cost. Group by box, type, or color.
Match & Move

Decks & Matching

Import decklists from any deck-building website. See what's missing or over-committed across every deck, and export an auto-generated wants-list.

Import & Export

Smart CSV import with automatic field-mapping supports a wide variety of formats, plus a full, lossless export any time — every card, box, and price, no cap, no account, no gate.

iCloud Sync & Backup

Your collection, boxes, and decks sync across your own devices via iCloud, plus rotating backup snapshots you can restore anytime.
Pricing

The free plan is here to stay

Kura's free plan covers the whole workflow — scanning, decklist matching, import & export, and iCloud sync — with limits on how many cards, boxes, and decklists you keep. During the beta, everyone is on the free plan.

After the beta, an optional Pro subscription will lift those limits for large collections — unlimited cards, boxes, and decklists. The free plan isn't going anywhere, and you never lose what you've built: Pro only ever adds. Final pricing will be shown in the App Store.

FAQ

Questions collectors ask

Do I need any special setup or equipment?

No — scan anywhere, straight from your hand, even through sleeves. A plain, single-color surface underneath can help Kura pick up card edges a bit faster, but it's entirely optional.

Which languages and printings does it recognize?

Every language in the Scryfall database — including Phyrexian. Kura auto-detects the set and printing, and often detects foil cards.

Where do the card prices come from?

From Scryfall's reference prices — Cardmarket trend in EUR or TCGPlayer in USD. The price is saved when you scan a card and can be refreshed anytime.

Do I need an account?

No. Kura has no accounts and no server. Your collection lives on your device, and syncing across your own devices happens through your personal iCloud.

Does it work offline?

Fully. Once the card database is on your device, recognition, search, and matching work in a basement, at a tournament, or on a plane.

Can I get my data out?

Always. Full, lossless CSV export of every card, box, and price — no cap, no Pro-gate.

Will it stay free?

Everything you build in Kura stays yours — you never lose it. A Pro subscription will arrive later for large collections (unlimited cards, boxes, and decklists); it only adds to the free plan and never takes anything away. Pro is simply what keeps the project alive and development moving.
